GO HILL!
A FUN AND REWARDING OPPORTUNITY WITH SPECIAL OLYMPICS
Hill Rec Sports is looking for students interested in working with our department and the Massachusetts Special Olympics to coordinate and host our annual State qualifying Basketball tournament.
The tournament will be held on Saturday, February 6th but work needs to begin now. This is a great opportunity to work with special athletes as well as provide an enriching and rewarding program for them.
The time commitment is minimal, but vitally important.
We have a long standing and valuable relationship with the Massachusetts Special Olympics. This relationship has been built and fostered over the years by a number of caring and dedicated Stonehill students who annually put together a great event.
Why don’t you add your name to that group? Our organizational meeting will be held on Monday, December 7th in Room 120 of the sports Complex from 4:30 – 6:00.
If you are interested, contact John Leahy, Director of Rec Sports in the Sports Complex. Email: jleahy@stonehill.edu.
This will be the only group meeting for the event. We hope to see you there.
