The final of four games to open the Intramural Floor Hockey season took place late into Tuesday night, yet both teams still looked eager to grab their first victory. After a surprisingly scoreless first period, The Boland Boys finally broke the scoring seal minutes into the second period with a goal off of a great assist into the middle that led to a wide open shot on goal. The Boland Boys would get another goal just seconds after the first one to open up their lead to 2-0. Patrick Kane is Innocent finally got on the board with a goal of their own as a shot on goals slipped between the goalie’s legs to cut The Boland Boys’ lead in half. Another goal by PKI forced in past the goalie would tie things at two. Yet The Boland boys would take their lead back just seconds later and take a 3-2 advantage into the final period.
An amazing play by PKI tied things up when a backwards pass towards goal was fired off of a one-timer and into the net. However, The Boland Boys would get the final say after a string of goals would put PKI to rest and give them victory by a score of 7-3.
Top goal scorers were three scorers for Patrick Kane is Innocent with one goal a piece and six goals by Anthony Graziano for The Boland Boys. The Boland Boys will play their next game Tuesday night against The Shinguards and PKI will be playing Dangles like Datsyuk.
